Informed by her background as a fiction writer, noted contemporary ballet choreographer Marika Brussel utilizes storytelling in her dance-making. Here she interprets excerpts of a solo from her new evening-length work, House of Names", that had been scheduled to premiere at ODC in April but has been postponed due to the pandemic. We chose her back patio as our location, with me capturing Marika's work mostly from a balcony above.
